Privia® User Community Sharpens Their Skills

Herndon, VA – October 16, 2018. Privia (“the Proposal Company™”) providing capture and proposal software and services to today’s government contractor market, is pleased to announce a successful User Conference with representatives from across the user community. The October 4th event was an opportunity for proposal and business development professionals to sharpen their skills and amplify their productivity through industry and expert insights.

Privia President and Chief Executive Officer Jay McConville kicked off the afternoon with an update on how the flexibility of online working has hit the mainstream. Keynote Speaker Jamie Ninneman, APMP International Board of Directors Chair and Global Lead SAP Bid & Proposal Management, highlighted shifts in the industry, including how continued growth is further legitimizing bid and proposal management as a career choice, especially among young and emerging professionals.

The balance of the afternoon focused on lessons learned and best practices aimed at increasing efficiency, from making the most of simultaneous commenting, content management, and search and reuse to a new tool for managing resumes and how Privia’s Process Designer keeps teams and their process agile.

“Sometimes taking a step back from work can help sharpen your skills,” said Mr. McConville, “and we want to make sure our clients are taking full advantage of time-saving features that can help them win more.”

Industry experts and Privia Partners rounded out the day with best practices, including “Writing for Evaluators” with communications expert Patricia Gorgone from PGPC, “Outsourcing the Proposal Process” with technology expert Linda Davies from CP2S, and “5 Habits of Successful Privia Users” with bid expert Derrick Chacon from The Bid Coach. A highlight of the day was Partner Mike Parkinson’s Session, “Winning Proposal Graphics”, which demonstrated how the right graphics not only compliment text and increase wins, but are easy to create.

“Time management,” continued Mr. McConville, “a focus on larger bids, and outsourcing seems to be on people’s minds. We are thrilled this new virtual format worked so well for our client community, giving them the information they need without disrupting their busy work day.”

The Privia team is hard at work planning the next User Conference with feedback from the user community. Businesses new to Privia may explore their on-premise and cloud options by scheduling a demonstration with Privia's software and services experts today.
